HKIB Advanced Therapy Products (ATP) Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Centre designed to comply with PIC/S GMP Standard will open in 2022. It will offer academic and non-academic collaborators flexible manufacturing solutions without the capital investment of building its own.

It gives acceleration of clinical trials to commercial scale production and offers certainty of manufacturing future. The centre has a highly-skilled workforce, cluster development and excellent logistics infrastructure. Collaborators can access segregated modules to manufacture their own products.

The facility has 6 operationally segregated clean rooms built in 2021 and expansion plan is underway. This will allow collaborators to bring in their own dedicated staff to manufacture products and take on more modules with growth. The facility is designed for cell and gene therapy product manufacturing and multiple Advanced Therapy Products (ATP) processes.
